Deltex Jumps at Opportunity to Join Texas Innovation Hub
Deltex Medical has become the third SME to confirm its participation in the “ABHI Innovation Hub” initiative. This is a partnership between UK MedTech trade association ABHI (Association of British Healthcare Industries) and the Dell Medical School, at the University of Texas in Austin.
The creation of the ABHI Innovation Hub, showcases innovative British MedTech companies to some of the most advanced healthcare providers and technologists in Texas and throughout the United States.
The Hub will provide companies a compelling office location, giving them the infrastructure to focus on accelerating market access in Texas and beyond. Moreover, participating companies will find themselves in an “ecosystem of clinicians, investors and mentors.” They will be able to participate in the ‘Texas Health Catalyst’, a programme designed by the Dell Medical School to foster health research and advance innovation.
In signing up to participate Deltex hopes to build on its already growing US presence and use the facility and contacts as a springboard for its new TrueVue haemodynamic monitoring platform.
Andy Mears, Managing Director and also Vice Chair of the International Policy Group for the ABHI comments that “Clinical evidence strongly supports the use of Deltex’s oesophageal Doppler monitoring platform, which clearly delivers improved surgical outcomes. We’ll be using the Innovation Hub as a focal point for for developing our business in Texas by connecting with clinicians and healthcare providers in this technological US hotbed.”
