ODM to Feature in Another US Hospital’s Surgical Enhanced Recovery Program
Oesophageal Doppler Monitoring (ODM) continues to grow in the United States and has now been adopted within the surgical Enhanced Recovery(ER) program in another significant teaching hospital.
The 600 bed hospital initially plans to treat 40 patients within its ER program before looking at other specialities. The decision comes from the positive evaluation of the ODM in the first half of 2015.
Although implementation was delayed, pending a hospital system merger, the result is that there are now ten further facilities in the enlarged system. Importantly, one procurement agreement covers the whole. This removes a barrier to conversion from future clinical acceptance of ODM into routine use.
About the accelerating adoption of Deltex’s haemodynamic monitoring technology across the US, CEO Ewan Phillips commented: “It is the sixth major hospital in our Mid-Atlantic sales territory and should further support the growth in one of our top-performing territories, where 2017 first half revenues were over 50% ahead of the first half of 2016.”
