Design Engineer Vacancy

The Design Engineer will play their part in bringing these new products to life. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, team player who is eager to see product development through the full product development cycle from concept to production and out into the market.
We have a vacant position, within our innovative R&D Team, for a Design Engineer to assist in the hardware development of medical devices. This role necessitates participation in requirements, design and test of robust medical devices for world-wide distribution, whilst meeting regulatory standards along with preparation of supporting documentation.

Responsibilities of the role
Some systems engineering including product specification, system architecture and contribution to the risk management process.
Design including Schematic capture & PCB layout with consideration for Design for manufacture and EMC.
Prototype, planning and delivery as necessary.
Plan, write and execute test protocols.
Support other departments, including fault finding and investigations as necessary.
Follow development process.
Highly Desirable Qualities & Skills include:
Experience working in a regulated environment.
Examples of following standards or working to standards.
Systems engineering.
Electronic design and layout.
Simulation of circuits.
Verification & Validation plans, protocols and reports.
Use of test equipment.
Use of Risk Management.
Practical skills for prototype construction.
Self-driven.
Desire to learn and able to self-teach.
Desirable:
Degree in Engineering or Science based subject i.e. physic
Programming in any of the following languages, Python / C / C++ / ASM
