Veterinary Fluid Management system launch and first sale

Fluid Management in animals represents a new market for Deltex Medical Group PLC. The company has launched its first Oesophageal Doppler Monitoring system for veterinary use and reported a first sale in Europe.

Deltex designed the new monitor, ODMV+, to provide haemodynamic monitoring during surgery on small animals such as dogs and cats.

The system has generated GBP15,000 on release from the first sale of a system to an undisclosed veterinary university in Europe.

Chief Executive Ewan Phillips said; “We are delighted to have already made a first sale of the ODMV+ system on its release. ODM is ideally suited for use in animals who tend to have high degrees of haemodynamic instability during surgery and in critical care.

“A number of other customers are also interested in the system and we expect to generate further interest after the full market launch. Our medium term goal is to develop the veterinary business to a stage where it can support a specialist distributor network.”

The news follows Deltex’s announcement that it has added High Definition Impedance Cardiography (HD-ICG™) to its CardioQ ODM+ platform. Delivering all main haemodynamic monitoring solutions helps the company maintain a leadership position in both intraoperative and perioperative fluid management.
